Elementary Schools are Overcrowded Unnecessarily

Dr. Norton and the administration do not want to rezone until after the new Elementaries are built. That assumes that the Proposition A passes, of course. But even if it passes, the new school(s) will not be ready for at least 1 more school year. While we understand the desire to minimize rezoning, we could better leverage existing facilities to improve the learning environment for teachers, students and parents.

Rezoning Opportunities Exist

Unnatural boundaries creates many opportunities to alleviate today’s overcrowding

The Board’s mission statement says, “The District will serve as a model of educational excellence by making use of the combined skills of students, teachers, support staff, involved parents and citizens through the efficient use of resources.”  By refusing to rezone, are we holding to the efficient use of resources?
